League Rules:

All rules and regulations are derived from the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), with some modifications for the Crossroads YMCA Adult Sports Leagues.

Adult League General Information:

Our YMCA Adult Sports Leagues provide a fun, competitive, and welcoming environment for adults to stay active, build community, and enjoy organized team sports. These leagues are designed for participants of varying skill levels who are looking for structured competition, sportsmanship, and a positive recreational experience. Adult leagues are offered in multiple divisions based on sport and competitive level to help ensure balanced and enjoyable play. Scores and team standings will be kept throughout the season, and leagues will conclude with a postseason format. All participants are required to review and acknowledge the YMCA Youth Sports Parent Manual during registration. This manual outlines league policies, code of conduct, eligibility requirements, and expectations for players, team captains, and officials. Schedules:

Teams will play one game a week on Sundays during the season. Games will run hourly starting at 2pm. All games will be played at the YMCA Sportscenter at Crown Point. The last day of the season will be a single-elimination tournament that results with crowning a league champion.

Rosters:

Participants are required to provide name of team captain/coach and/or team name at registration. Teams must be pre-determined before the beginning of the season. Substitutes are not allowed. Teams may have a minimum of 6 players and a maximum of 9. Teams are limited to a maximum of 2 nonmembers per team.

Jerseys:

Teams provide their own uniforms. All tops must be the same color. Teams are not required to wear jerseys. Teams may wear t-shirts, tank tops, or any Y-approved fitness top.

Communication:

Participants will receive first emails regarding adult sport league information at least 2 weeks prior to first practices/games. Please confirm primary member email of the Crossroads YMCA membership account.

Zero Tolerance Policy:

The YMCA Sportscenter at Crown Point follows a strict zero-tolerance policy for Adult Leagues. Participants will be ejected and/or suspended for arguing and fighting. We encourage our participants to let players play, officials officiate, and spectators spectate.
